Things To Do in Emsworth

The historic town of Emsworth is tucked away in the south east corner of Hampshire on the shore of Chichester Harbour. An attractive market town with an array of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, Emsworth offers a friendly welcome. The town is popular with sailors, artists, naturalists and walkers. The two tidal millponds to the east and west are home to a variety of wildlife, as is the Brook Meadow conservation area to the east of the River Ems.

Visitor Attractions

Visit Portsmouth and the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard which includes the award-winning Mary Rose Museum and HMS Victory. Boat trips around Portsmouth Harbour take in the associated history and a trip up the Spinnaker Tower to take in the 23 mile view in any direction makes Portsmouth a full day out.

The Cathedral city of Chichester is a vibrant city filled with cultural delights, independent shopping and over 100 places to eat and drink. Chichester Harbour is an area of ‘Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and one of the few remaining undeveloped coastal areas in Southern England. The wide expanses and intricate creeks are a major wildlife haven and among some of Britain’s most popular boating waters.

The sandy beaches of West Wittering, East Head and Hayling Island are also all within easy reach.

For keen walkers and cyclists, we can provide details of some of the beautiful routes available from Old Dairy Farm or within a short distance from the farm.

Other places of interest include Stansted Park & House (2.5 miles), Goodwood House, Racecourse & Motor Circuit (10 miles), Weald & Downland Open Air Museum (13.6 miles), Fishbourne Roman Palace (7 miles) and Arundel (13.5 miles).
